My daughter called me from Berlin this morning, where she's working at the moment. What a pleasant surprise!
It's 9:30 a.m. here, and 6:30 p.m. in Germany. I wasn't aware that she'd signed up for some kind of international calling plan, so this call came out of the blue. Previous to this our only contact was by e-mail whenever she was working overseas, which she does frequently.
Another miracle of modern travel and communication noted.
