That's true, Dave, since my dad died over ten years ago. I went on a few trips with him and Mom once they began inviting me on their tab. It established cherished memories for me. Nowadays, I feel pretty overwhelmed with the lack of parental support since my mom went into assisted living for dementia.
I got my house here in the early nineties, when I moved from their house. When I was at their house, they went on trips and I stayed there by myself and watched it. Later after I got this place was when I went on some trips with them. Being alone is all right for me, my cellar spiders keep me company, and I guess it is more that I feel lonely, more like sad and scared.
I had crickets for companions when I lived in the tin shack (2007).Then came feral cats and birds (California brown thrashers). As U know there are no dishonest fanatics.

She looks very relaxed.
She's a true road warrior.
Much more than I am.
How have you been, joe? You don't seem to travel much.
By preference?
